“ Fairgrounds is the kind of spot where you could post up for hours with a solid coffee and a good vibe. I dropped about 14 on a vanilla draft latte and an avocado toast, and both hit the spot. The latte was smooth, slightly sweet, and had that perfect creamy texture from the nitro—way better than your average iced coffee. The toast was stacked with fresh avocado, a drizzle of chili oil, and everything seasoning, making it surprisingly filling. The space itself is super chill, with plenty of seating and a cool aesthetic. If you’re into high-quality coffee and a laid-back but stylish atmosphere, this place is a win! ”
“ We were in the area visiting family, and we decided to stay in the city to experience some Chicago things. Took the kids to go ice skating at the rink in Millennium Park and were exhausted... Just wanted coffee after that whole ordeal. Fortunately, we came across Fairgrounds on our walk back. Was pretty busy the day after Christmas. Waited in line, which seemed to go fast, but still gave me time to look at the menu and the coffee beans on the shelf. Girl at the register had a great attitude and the coffee was good! I got an iced latte. Smooth finish. Decently priced for locally roasted coffee. Accidentally entered my sister’s latte as hot, but the barista made the latte so nice that we couldn’t waste it, so I took a picture of it and we were on our way. I came back a couple days later to grab a bag of beans to bring back to CA, and they happened to be running a special - free drink with a purchase of coffee beans. The guy at the register, despite the day he said he was having, was sweet and added some positive to my day. Visiting this coffee shop was such a pleasant highlight to our trip! Will definitely come back and recommend to people visiting! ”
“ Blueberry lemon scone was delicious and the iced honey lavender latte was the best coffee drink I’ve had since we arrived in Chicago last week! Friendly customer service too. ”
“ Fairgrounds Craft Coffee and Tea is the perfect spot if you’re into high-quality coffee and a chill atmosphere. I grabbed a matcha latte and a smoked turkey sandwich, and both were on point. The matcha was smooth with just the right amount of sweetness, and the turkey sandwich was fresh with a nice kick from the mustard and greens. I spent about 15, which felt totally worth it for the quality. The cafe itself has a hip, relaxed vibe and a great selection of pastries too. If you’re downtown and need a quick but tasty coffee fix, this place is definitely worth checking out! ”
“ Flavorful lavender oat latte, not too sweet, just right! The baristas were very friendly and helpful. There’s a delightful outdoor patio right on Michigan avenue which makes for good people watching and hanging out with friends. They have a nice selection of croissants, bakery treats and coffee bar. ”
“ Delicious coffee at a great price. Can’t beat the location, right on Michigan ave the building is absolutely stunning! We’ve had their coffee and croissants for breakfast the last two days on our trip. The baristas are friendly and service is quick. A great place to grab a quick bite or refreshment before heading across the street to millennium park or on the way to the art museum. ”
“ Fun and well-stocked coffee shop on Michigan Ave. great location for a break and good coffee. The barista was excellent. Great coffees and a fun attitude. Scone was a bit dry, but is was late in the day. ”
“ This small craft coffee shop serves a top quality cappuccino in a ceramic mug. The barrista is super helpful. The emphasis is on carry out so there is limited seating available. They have some pastries and canned or bottled beverages as well. The selection of artisanal coffee beans for sale is phenomenal and the prices are in the range of 17 for 12oz bags. I definitely will come back. ”
